Post virtual session, I asked my client to share what she likes about the Magic Circle. Here’s what she gave me. YES!

“The magic pants are fun for a couple reasons...the first being the fact we call them magic pants.  What I like about them from a 'technical aspect' is that they are like bumper rails in bowling.  They require that I pay attention to that area so my pants don't fall down and my butt hangs out, they keep my legs in a confined space and help me refine the movements that we are doing - which for me is a HUGE thing because I am still trying to break myself of thinking bigger is better - ie more width, deeper squat, etc when in fact a lot of times all that is really doing is increasing the stress on joints or putting me into a position to tear something.  I particularly LOVE and I mean L O V E the help they give me to stretch my hammies and groin without having weight on my leg.  For example, in the past my options were to bend over at the waist and try to get some stretch that way or the runner stretch.  Both of those positions give me a stretch but my back muscles always come into play before I can get any kind of stretch going on in the leg for some reason.  With my magic pants, I lay down and I am able to get the loop around my toes and gently pull them into the stretch.  I suppose you could do the same thing using bands but I am band challenged for some reason.  I think it all relates to the stability of the tool I am using and with the bands being as stretchy as they are, again, I wind up not having my bumper rails.  I also like that I have to stay cognizant of the fact that I cannot squeeze the living daylights out of it or it will break.  This is again good for me because...lets say it together...I need bumper rails to not go overboard.  The movements do not have to be big and impressive to help your body and I truly am a person who needs that just because of the male dominated show off atmosphere I learned to work out in.  If you weren't straining to pump out that last push up you were a wimp you know???”
