Assessment- Posture and Balance

This hour long assessment is an opportunity to listen to your account of history in your body, tell me how you like to move and, just as important to consider: how you don’t. I will look objectively at everyday movements you make and take extensive notes on what I observe. I’ll take you through a series of basic movements, observe patterns and let you know how I think I can help. This is an opportunity to create a plan for you to reach your movement goals. This isn’t a workout, but a fact finding mission. It is an important step in your movement journey!

Wear comfortable clothes that aren’t too baggy. I can serve you best and assess properly if I can see neck (hair up), shoulders (no hoodies, even down), baggy clothes obscure your pelvis and knees and ankles. Barefoot is recommended as long as it’s safe for you to do so in your place of assessment. Be sure you can set up in a way that I can see you walk, and in a way that I’ll be see you top to bottom. You’ll also need a chair with no arms, or bench.
